You’ve got the perfect dress – but what veil goes with it?
Wedbykez.com looks at the different options to top off that perfect gown.

No Veil
Since we are huge fans of bucking tradition I thought I would take this moment to mention you don’t HAVE to have a veil. If it doesn’t work for you or your gown then go without.
Blusher Veil
A short, one layered veil which falls just below the chin. The Blusher can be just a piece of the veil which covers the face during the ceremony for the “lift the veil” moment.
Chapel Veil
A formal veil with two layers of materials. The front layer falls forward from the headpiece and covers the face. The second layer falls backwards elegantly to the floor. Traditionally the second layer is as long as the train on your dress.
Cathedral Veil
Identical to the Chapel Veil although the length of the second piece is much longer.
Elbow Veil
One or two layered viel which extends, you guessed it – to the elbow
Fingertip Veil
One or two layered veil which extends to the fingertips.
Waist
One or two layered veil which extends to the waist.
Knee
Guess where this falls to?
Obviously the creators of the Elbow, Fingertip, Waist and Knee Veil spent hours brainstorming a name – ed
Royal
Insanely long veil. Think Princess Di.
Waltz Veil
A one piece veil that can vary in length between the knees and floor.
Flyaway Veil
Made from several layers the flyaway falls to the shoulderblades.
Mantilla Veil
Circular-shaped and rest on top of the head with edges that are covered with lace and frame the face.
Russian/ Fishnet Veil
A short veil usually attached to a hairpiece and made from one layer of netting.
Detachable Veil
When searching for the perfect veil you may come across this option which allows you to have a long veil that is segmented. After the ceremony the length portion is removed leaving a short elbow or fingertip length piece.
