How long have you been in business? Just getting started in the last couple of months with the business, but have been baking for about 5 years.
What’s the best thing about what you do? Creating custom cupcakes and cookies to suit individual needs, colours and themes. It’s a job which is exciting and constantly changing, and I really look forward to new and unusual orders!
Best Advice for Brides? Cupcakes are a great alternative to a traditional tiered wedding cake as they can be arranged on a tiered stand, can be perfect as guest’s dessert or as a take-home bonbonniere, & often cost less in the long run as they don’t require the ‘cut & serve’ costs which apply to wedding cakes and can be quite expensive! When choosing a cupcake design, go for simplicity & neutral colours for a classic & classy look, but don’t be scared to try bright colours & bold shapes for a unique reception centrepiece.
What about your own wedding? I really respect couples who think outside the box when planning their wedding, and when my partner & I finally decide to tie the knot I would love to create a red & black rockabilly theme cupcake tower, with lots of pop-art-esque polkadots, bows & hearts, like miniature works of art!
